Hello and thanks for visiting our website to learn a little more about our practice.
I am originally from Vancouver, British Columbia and did my undergrad studies at the University of British Columbia in biochemistry.
Dental school took me to the windy city of Chicago where I studied at Northwestern University.
After I finished dental school, I worked in Chicago for a few years before moving back to the Pacific Northwest in 2005.
I associated for a few years before taking over for Dr. Allan Zalewski in Lynnwood back in 2011.
When teeth are lost, they can be replaced with realistic, durable, and secure dental implants.
These fake teeth are inserted into the jaw with artificial roots.
Once present, they mimic the look and feel of natural teeth, leaving your smile complete and functionality restored.
Missing teeth pose not only a cosmetic setback, but they can also negatively impact the overall health of your mouth.
Missing space in your smile opens up room for adjacent teeth to shift.
As they move towards that area and change positions they become more susceptible to tooth decay, gum disease, and TMJ.
Dental inlays and onlays are used to fill in areas of the teeth that were removed due to decay.
Similar to fillings, inlays fit inside the tooth to fill it out and provide a natural appearance.
Their bonding process also improves the strength of the teeth.
Onlays are also fit inside of the tooth, but they extend onto the top of the chewing surface.
These restorations are performed to repair teeth that have mild decay, moderate cracks, and fractures that are not severe enough to need a crown.
Oftentimes, patients have too much damage for a filling to be sufficient, yet the tooth is healthy enough to avoid the need for a full crown.
Dental bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth by positioning an artificial tooth or teeth in the open space.
Fake teeth are secured with attached crowns that are slid onto the neighboring teeth.
Before inserting the crowns, the neighboring teeth are reduced in size and shape so the new enamel can be easily fitted.
Once secured, impressions are made of the teeth and then constructed into a mold that is then inserted into the area.
Missing teeth can have a negative impact not only on your smile but also on your overall oral health.
A dental crown is a cap that is placed on top of the teeth that restores them to a desired shape and size.
Our custom-made crowns at Dimayuga Dental are aesthetically pleasing, encasing the entire tooth and fixing issues like chipped and broken teeth.
These caps secure the tooth, holding it into place and keeping it strong.
Once bonded, the portion of the tooth that is visible above the gum line is protected, ensuring a natural look and feel for years to come.
Our crowns are matched to the color of your teeth, not only providing consistency in shape and length, but also in hue.
