Hello, my name is Karen.
With over 15 years of dental experience, I have a lot of knowledge on the administrative side of dentistry.
I am also a registered dental assistant and enjoy helping in the back when I am needed.
In my spare time, I love cooking, knitting, sewing, gardening and being active.
I live in Edmonds with my husband of 36 years.
We have 2 daughters and 2 grandkids.
I look forward to seeing you in the office!
I have been in dentistry for over 17 years and love it!
I am married, have three children and a kitty.
Here at Mahoney Family Dentistry, we know everyone deserves personalized dental care in a comfortable setting.
If you're afraid of going to a dentist or haven't been to one for a while, just give us a call, and we will walk you through our entire office before your next appointment.
This will ease your tension and helps you relax while you're in our office.
Dr. Mahoney had our patients in mind when the office was designed where children and adults feel welcome.

Rinse gently with Chlorhexidine 0.12% mouthwash for 30 seconds, three times per day and let it fall into the sink.
Do not spit.
AVOID THE SURGICAL SITES until given specific brushing instructions at your post-operative visit.
AVOID peroxide, alcohol, spitting, and drinking through the straw until you are instructed to do so at a following post-operative visit.
Slight bleeding or oozing is normal during the first two days following surgery.
If excessive bleeding occurs, apply pressure with moist gauze or tea bag for 20-30 minutes.
A dental bridge is a non-removable fixed prosthetic appliance that can replace your missing teeth.
Our dentist in Edmonds will discuss which type of bridge will work for your particular case.
Fixed bridges are usually made of porcelain fused to metal, which has two crowns that go over two abutment teeth and they're attached to artificial teeth in order to fill the space.
Fixed bridges are very durable even if it may be necessary to regularly check with your dentist, Dr. Rachel Mahoney as they might need to be re-cemented due to normal wear.
