We understand that choosing a dentist and a dental health team can be a challenge. We appreciate the opportunity to provide you with the highest level of care in a patient-centered, private care environment. We strive to have a highly trained doctor and staff with high character; to provide a pain free and anxiety free environment while developing honest and trust with our patients.

Our practice in Tupelo is dedicated to caring for your overall health by helping you make informed decisions regarding disease vs. health. Knowing we will be here when you are ready to create a healthy mouth that best suites "Your Life." Do you suffer from headaches? Do you clench or grind your teeth during the day or night? Are your teeth always closed together?

Are your gums receding? Do you notice that your front or back (or both) teeth are wearing down? Do you have to have dental work redone? How about these symptoms that you probably never even thought of that might be related to your mouth and bite: ringing in the ears (tinnitus); stuffiness in the ears or eyes; neck or shoulder pain; back pain; plus a myriad of other unexplained aches and pains.
Services
Creating a health-based practice centered around individualized care with minimally invasive dentistry for every stage of life.
My name is Dr. Robert H. Thornton, and I have been practicing dentistry since 2000.
I have studied extensively at the finest post- graduate programs in the world including OBI Foundation for Bioesthetic Dentistry in Oregon, The Texas Center for Occlusal Studies and Minimally Invasive Dentistry, and The Schuster Center in Scottsdale, Arizona.
I have learned many wonderful things from all of these teaching institutions, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to have studied with them.
I highly recommend this dentist to anyone needing work done on their teeth and to get started with a program to maintain their teeth.
I am a firm believer that customer service is the key to any successful business.
The first person you see when you walk through any business in the office administrator.
One of the main reasons I have chosen to stay with this dentistry is because of the administrative assistant, they know me by name, they call to check on you and because the overall staff is just amazing.

Having had a history of dental problems and several unpleasant circumstances in dental facilities, this office rates at the top of my list for loving, caring service.
It's a relief to know there are still people who perform with excellence in every area.
I have been so humiliated in other places I felt like giving up.
However, this is a place that gives hope: If anyone has major dental work to be done, I highly recommend this office.
Dr. Thornton is such a breath of fresh air - along with his staff.
Excellence in dentistry begins with a thorough evaluation and diagnosis and a MASTER PLAN.
Every patient will receive a comprehensive examination of gums, teeth, bite, joints, muscles, and soft tissues.
Dr. Thornton uses state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, including a Computerized Dental Fitness Program (developed by his mentor, Dr. Michael Schuster), intraoral videography, digital x-rays (with 1/8's normal radiation), jaw simulators, and study casts of your own mouth.
This is a process of discovering your RISK ASSESSMENT of gum disease, tooth decay, TMJ or jaw joint, and tooth wear.
