Tena Hoffman Powe, D.M.D., graduated from the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry. Dr. Powe is a member of the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association, and the Bluegrass Dental Society.

TMJ is an abbreviation for temper mandibular joint, and is used by many lay people to describe certain types of headache or jaw pain.
Pain in the area in front of the ear, many times mistaken as an earache, may have its origin in the TMJ.
The reason for this pain can vary and the treatments will depend upon the diagnosis.
Pain which has its origins in the muscles of the head, neck, and shoulder can cause similar pain and is often misnamed as a TMJ problem.
Some cases can be treated in our office and we have referral sources for diagnosis and treatment of TMJ, neurological, and muscle pain.

It's our belief that since dentures, particularly lower dentures can be difficult to wear successfully, that we make the best product we can to give our patients their best chance to successfully wear their dentures, and to be pleased with their appearance.
