Crumpton Family Dentistry
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We are a family owned and operated dental practice devoted to preserving the oral health of patients of all ages through education, prevention, and restorative treatments. Dr. Reid Crumpton and his daughter Dr. Brianna Crumpton welcome new patients of all ages. Walking into our office should feel like walking into the home of a trusted friend.

In fact, our office is a home that was originally built in the 1950s! It still retains that warm, homelike feeling and puts many of our patients at ease. However, don't let our casual appearance fool you. The doctors are both trained in the latest technology, and combine their own research of the latest materials with the care and genuine concern for your welfare to give you the BEST treatment, not just the flashiest.

Our goal with this website is to answer some of the questions you may have, as well as give you a glimpse into our practice and our personalities. We strive to maintain the highest level of expertise by continuing education about new techniques, sciences and technologies.
Services
From routine cleanings and fillings to bruxism devices, Crumpton Family Dentistry is equipped to handle all your dental needs.
Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
We will also take x-rays, which includes the panoramic x-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth.
Implants are synthetic structures that are placed in the area of the tooth normally occupied by the root.
Dr. Reid Crumpton is a true East Tennessee native - spending the first 10 years of his life in Maryville before his family relocated to Knoxville.
He graduated from Bearden High School, the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a B.S. in Zoology, and the University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Dentistry in Memphis, TN.
After graduation, he had the privilege of practicing with his father, Dr. Earl Crumpton, one of the first pediatric dentists in Tennessee.
He relocated his practice to Powell in 1991.
We are located in Powell, on Emory Road right off I-75, almost across from the new Kroger.
Please use our online appointment request or call us to schedule.
If you cannot keep a scheduled appointment for ANY reason, please call us at 865-938-1230 as soon as possible to reschedule.
We accept most traditional insurance plans; please call our office and Sherry will be happy to answer your questions or verify acceptance of your insurance plan.
We also accept checks, cash, and most major credit cards, and can talk to you about a flexible payment plan.
If you cannot print, we have copies available at the front desk to fill out; however, please arrive an extra 10-15 minutes before your designated appointment time if you choose this option.
Your first visit will follow one of two paths: the "problem-focused" or "emergency" exam, or a comprehensive exam and cleaning.
In the problem-focused visit, we will review your medical history and your current problem.
We may take x-rays or use other diagnostic tests to diagnose, then we will develop a treatment plan and, time-permitting, treat and resolve the problem.
