Our Poulsbo dentist team of dentists recognizes and respects the delicate yet complex role our mouths and teeth play in individual quality of life.

This ranges from basic function (eating and speaking) to self-perception (confidence and aesthetics). Dr. Lois Lee studied urban planning at the University of Washington.
She then graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University in 2007 and completed her general practice residency at the Manhattan Veterans Affairs Hospital.
The dental program she completed had a strong medical component, which complemented her residency training in a hospital setting.
Thanks to this training, Dr. Lee has a broad understanding of medical conditions and human biology that allows her to help patients understand their mouths in relation to their whole body.
Regular checkups and cleanings are an extremely important part of oral care.
While a lot of people don't think of having their teeth cleaned and checked, it's actually extremely necessary to maintaining the integrity of a patient's teeth, gums and overall mouth.
Dental cleanings and dental checkups should be done at least twice a year.
If it's been a little longer than six months for you, though, don't worry!
Just make sure that you schedule an appointment for a cleaning and checkup as soon as possible.
If your tooth has sustained damage, it needs to be repaired as soon as possible.
Whether the damage is due to an accident or due to decay, having a damaged tooth can lead to serious oral health issues if it is not properly repaired.
One excellent repair option for teeth that have suffered moderate to severe damage is the placement of a dental crown.
A dental crown is a tooth repair prosthetic that covers the natural tooth and replaces the natural crown of the tooth.
Dental crowns are also used as abutments to hold dental bridges in place.
There are some general dentist procedures that are very common amongst children and adults alike.

If you have a decayed or damaged tooth, your dentist may suggest placing a dental filling.
