Richard Miyamoto was born in Yokohama, Japan and raised in Waipahu, Hawaii.
He attended Waipahu High School and The University of Hawaii at Manoa where he received his Bachelor's degree.
He attended Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, Illinois and received a DDS degree in 1985.
Post-doctorate training includes a General Practice Residency at The Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, HI where he developed a passion for prosthetic dentistry.
A commitment to being the best in his field, he pursued and received a certificate in the Specialty of Prosthodontics at The University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio, Texas.
