We at London Bridge Pediatric Dentistry welcome you and your child to our practice. We appreciate the opportunity to apply our care, skill and judgment to your child's dental needs. Recognizing that our office represents a new experience for you and your child, we offer the following information about our office. We, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recommend the first dental examination by 12 months of age.

Many problems which might otherwise develop can be prevented. We are deeply committed to the total health and well-being of your child and to the ideas of preventive dentistry. We educate our patients about accurate brushing and flossing techniques and the importance of routine dental check-ups. We believe early education prepares kids for a lifetime of excellent dental health!

As the science of dentistry expands through research and development of new methods, materials, and equipment, we stay current through continuing education and investment of time, energy, and funds to maintain a state-of-the-art office.

How should I clean my baby's teeth?
A toothbrush with soft bristles and a small head, especially one designed for infants, is the best choice for infants.
Brushing at least once a day, at bedtime, will remove plaque bacteria that can lead to decay.
At what age should my child have his/her first dental visit?
To prevent dental problems, your child should see a pediatric dentist when the first tooth appears, usually between 6 and 12 months of age, certainly no later than his/her first birthday.
Why should my child see a pediatric dentist instead of our regular family dentist?
If you are a current patient of our office and are experiencing an after-hours dental emergency, you may call our emergency line at (757) 749-1416.
We try our best to accommodate our patients as much as possible when scheduling appointments.
We have found that children with extensive dental work or preschool children are better to be seen early in the morning when they are fresher and can have a more positive experience.
Some appointments may require the child to miss some school; however, these are considered excused absences.
