He played a number of sports at Bishop Ryan High School before being awarded a full-tuition football scholarship to North Dakota State University where he played tight end.
While there, Dr. Vetter met his wife, Katie, who played NDSU basketball.
After graduating, they both moved to Creighton for his dental training.
