Dr. Rude is a graduate of Kentwood High School and the University of Puget Sound, where he earned a Bachelor's of Science in Biology.
He always knew he wanted to be a healthcare provider and dentistry provided an opportunity for him to interact with people one on one, solve difficult problems, and work with his hands.
After earning his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from Tufts Dental School in Boston, Dr. Joel Rude joined his father's dental practice, eventually taking over after Dr. Danny Rude retired.
Kristie started off as a patient of Rude Family Dentistry in 1978.
In 1988 Kristie joined the practice working as a dental assistant before moving into the role of office manager.
She is likely the first friendly face you'll meet when you walk into the practice.
Because of how long she has worked at the practice, so many patients are friends and feel like family.
Kristie is a Fellow of the American Association of Dental Office Management, and regularly keeps up with continuing education to stay current.
Most of the conditions that negatively affect your smile can be avoided with regular care.
Our practice emphasizes the importance of preventive measures.
By helping you maintain proper dental hygiene and by treating problems in their earliest stages, we can reduce the number of cosmetic and restorative procedures you will require in the future.
Dental hygiene appointments are sometimes called "cleanings" because the teeth are thoroughly cleaned as part of the dental hygiene process.
During this time, the plaque and tartar on your teeth above the gum line will be removed and an oral examination will be performed on your teeth, gums, and soft tissue.
One of the first things people notice about you is your smile.
If chipped, stained, or crooked teeth are hiding the real you, it may be time for a smile makeover.
In as little as one or two appointments, our dental team can offer you results that will last for years.
From teeth whitening to dental implants, we offer a wide range of cosmetic and restorative procedures to transform your smile.
You can have the confidence that comes from a bright, white smile.
If you are happy with the alignment and spacing of your teeth, a teeth whitening procedure may be all that separates you from a dazzling smile.
