I was born in Concord, California and grew up in small towns (Pine Grove, CA and Sutter Creek, CA) in the Sierra Nevada foothills.
I enjoyed growing up with lots of open space to explore and play outdoors.
I attended college at Biola University in La Mirada, CA for two years and then graduated from California State University, Sacramento with my B.S. in Biology.
