Capital Dental Design
If you don't like your smile, you may not know where to start. We'll help you see what's possible, design a plan to do it, and get the smile that fits you best. There's no chance you won't get your favorite dentist, because there's one dentist in our practice: Dr. Graham Forbes. You'll get your favorite dentist every time. We always take the time to explain your dental health and all the ways to a brighter smile.

Too many dental practices are run by semi-helpful administrators and dentists who can't be bothered to answer your questions or explain treatment options. At Capital Dental Design, Dr. Graham personally explains the how and why in as much detail as you want, and the whole Capital team walks you through all other parts of your stress-free visit.
Services
We treat all our patients the way we would like our family to be treated.
That means taking the time with every patient to understand who they are, what their goals for the oral health are, and designing a plan to reach those goals.
Our practice was founded over forty years ago by Dr. Thomas Wright Jr. DDS.
He instilled in the practice a passion for dentistry, continuous learning, and patient care.
Dr. Wright was at the forefront of implant dentistry, laser dentistry, and adhesive dentistry.
We've said it already but it is our driving purpose in how we treat every one of our patients: we treat our patients like our family.
Our team is a mix of people who have been with us for a very long time (we won't say exactly how long) and new faces.
Everyone brings their own expertise and personality to create the same great experience at our office.
Lisa has been with us for over 20 years and is one of the first people you will meet, either over the phone or when you come into our office.
If you're looking to make an appointment or get advice, Lisa is who you're looking for.
Charles has been with us for over 15 years and is the other first person you will meet at our office.
At Capital Dental Design in Richmond, we make every effort to keep routine exams and cleanings stress free for our patients.
Our exams are thorough, and we pride ourselves in administering deep and gentle cleanings using Cavitron and Prophy-Jet sonic instruments.
Our highly trained hygienists will not only work their magic, they are also happy to talk with you about any dental concerns you may have during or after the cleaning.
We believe in taking the time to discuss oral health for the best care now, and as a preventative measure.
There are three primary treatment choices for teeth with significant decay: composite fillings, crowns, and inlays/onlays.
Crowns are used when most of the tooth has been damaged.
The damaged parts of the tooth are removed by the dentist, and then shaped to allow for a porcelain crown to be placed on top of it, so that the mouth's appearance and the ability to chew food are maintained.
At Capital Dental Design, crowns are always an option, but our goal is always to protect and maintain as much of the original tooth structure as is possible.
It is never ideal to be in the situation of needing emergency dental care, but accidents do happen, and it is important to have a plan in place in case you do find yourself in such a situation.
In addition to providing a full range of dental services, Dr. Graham Forbes and his team are on hand to provide you with emergency treatments as needed.
We are not only committed to providing you with the care you need, we are also committed to providing you care in a manner that will help minimize or remove any physical discomfort, stress, or anxiety related to your procedure.
