Dr. Solow is a general dentist who focuses his practice on adult restorative dentistry. The practice is designed for patients who value personal, individualized care where time is taken to thoroughly assess and explain all problems prior to discussing treatment options. All new patients enter the practice with a 2 hour comprehensive exam. The goal of our practice is to have our patients maintain their teeth, restorations and supporting structures for their lifetime and only need routine cleaning/exams.
We do this by teaching how to predictably prevent dental and periodontal problems related to bacterial challenge and adverse forces in the bite. About half of our patients are referred by specialists who have worked with Dr. Solow on complex cases involving implant restoration and correction of bite problems. Dr. Solow teaches at the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL and has lectured and published extensively.
We are an insurance-independent fee-for-service practice.

The exam entails showing the patient and discussing the soft tissues and oral cancer check, masticatory muscle palpation, bite relationship in chewing excursions, periodontal recession and bone support levels, dental decay and restoration status, TMJ Doppler ultrasound, and computerized occlusal analysis when appropriate, and the specifics of oral hygiene.
