I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine.
In addition to my course work, I did an oral surgery externship at the VA Hospital in Philadelphia and an oral medicine externship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as the pediatric honor program at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
I also completed periodontal training at the Uniklinikum Giessen in Germany.
After finishing dental school, I worked as a General Dentist in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, where I was voted one of South Jersey's top dentist in 2009 and 2010.

We recommend regular exams at least every six months.
By doing so, we can check for problems that you might not feel or see; we can find early signs of decay and treat it before it gets to a point where treatment might require further steps and more expense.
When a patient comes for an oral examination, an oral cancer screening is done at the same time.
A visual and tactile screening of your face, neck, lips and mouth is done to check any alteration in its appearance.
Any changes could be a warning sign for a pathological process.

At Pleasant Prairie Family Dental, we treat Periodontal Disease in the least invasive and most cost effective manner.
This is often accomplished by non-surgical periodontal treatment.
The initial stage of treatment is done by doing a thorough cleaning that includes scaling to remove plaque and calculus beneath the gum line.
The root is then planned to smooth the root surface allowing the gum tissue to heal and reattach to the tooth.
Local delivery antimicrobials and host modulation may be recommended to help control the growth of bacteria.

Professional teeth whitening under the supervision of a dentist is safe.
The ADA recommends to have one's teeth checked by a dentist before undergoing any whitening method.
The dentist should examine the patient thoroughly: take a health and dental history (including allergies and sensitivities), observe hard and soft tissues, placement and conditions of restorations, and sometimes x-rays need to be taken to determine the nature and depth of possible irregularities.
Invisalign, is the invisible method to straighten your teeth without conventional metal braces.
