The Little Tooth
To help you decide, let me start by telling you a little bit about myself. I graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, specialized in pediatric dentistry at Boston University, and have been practicing pediatric dentistry in the Hartford area since 2008. I'm on the board of the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentists, and I am a dental consultant for Head Start, a state-run early childhood development program.

I am also a volunteer instructor for the dental assisting and hygiene schools at Lincoln College.
Services
Dr. Jay's approach to dentistry is pretty simple.
He treats each of his patients as if they were one of his own two children.
That often means taking the time to walk them through their appointments and explaining each step along the way.
He finds spending these extra few moments with his patients really helps make them feel comfortable, and it clearly shows because our patients love to come back to visit us!
Even the youngest healthy smiles require regular maintenance to stay healthy.
Just like regular check-ups at the doctor's office, regular dental visits can help your child stay healthy.
Kids require special dental care.
They grow quickly, change so fast, and benefit from dentists trained in the art of treating kids.
Dr. Jay offers all general dentistry services for kids of all ages.
As a father himself, he understands that kids need a solid foundation to have a lifelong healthy smile.
Our goal is to use preventive, restorative, and orthodontic treatment to give your child a healthy, comfortable, beautiful smile that lasts a lifetime.
Our fun, kid-friendly office makes treatment an adventure for your little ones.
Technology can make treatment easier and more accurate for our patients.
Any time we can improve the care we provide by investing in technology for our patients, we feel it is important to do so.
Here are some of the technological features you'll find at The Little Tooth Company.
Intraoral cameras are small cameras we can place inside the mouth to take digital images or videos of specific teeth.
This is a valuable tool when describing a condition, explaining treatment, or showing parents exactly what we see!
As a dental office, we are in the business of saving teeth, not removing them!
Unfortunately, life sometimes has other plans and removing a damaged or troubled tooth is actually the best decision for your child's health.
Some of the most common reasons for dental extractions include trauma, infection, deep decay, over crowding, fracture, or the teeth are ready to come out naturally and just need a little help.
If the time comes when your child needs to have a tooth removed, we understand that it can create some anxiety - usually in the parents!
Healthy teeth are essential to maintaining a healthy diet at all ages, and it is hard enough to get your children to eat their vegetables without the additional challenge of a painful tooth!
Children are conscious of their appearance, too.
Maintaining a healthy and beautiful smile can give them the added confidence they need to throw their hands in the air during class to deliver a correct answer.
That is why, at The Little Tooth Company Pediatric Dentistry, we provide children with tooth-colored crowns when they need a restoration.
