Services
Dr. Ji Kim received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the Loma Linda University School of Dentistry.
Since then, he has devoted many hours to continuing education courses and has gotten certified in cosmetic orthodontics (Invisalign).
He is a fellow member of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and has taken numerous courses in implantology in order to provide the best in dental implant care.
In 2014, 2015, and 2016, Dr. Kim was voted by his peers as one of Hawaii's Best Dentists in Honolulu Magazine.
We can help your teeth and gums stay healthy and looking great with routine cleanings and exams.
We'll first get rid of any plaque and then we'll polish and floss your teeth.
Dr. Kim will also examine your overall oral health and walk you through any next steps for your treatment plan.
When food settles into the deep crevices and grooves of back teeth, it can cause cavities.
With sealants, we can seal off these crevices so bacteria doesn't get stuck there and teeth stay protected.
Gum disease is related to a variety of other health complications, so we work hard to stop it in its tracks and maintain your overall health.
If you have a severely damaged or decayed tooth, root canal therapy can preserve and repair it.
Wisdom teeth removal can gently remove difficult wisdom teeth that can harm your oral health.
Any services that help repair a damaged tooth, replace missing teeth, or save decayed teeth are considered part of restorative dentistry.
Fillings, extractions, tooth replacement solutions, root canals, and more are part of the restorative dentistry field.
Many insurance plans cover or help cover restorative treatments.
Even if you're not quite sure of what you need, we'll be able to make an assessment during a dental exam and would be happy to give you recommendations for what other preventive treatments might benefit you.
Of course, if everything looks great and you don't need anything else to improve your oral health, we'll be thrilled to give you that news as well!
To understand what exactly preventive dental care is, just focus on the word "prevent."
This type of dentistry is focused on preventing oral health problems like cavities, gum disease, and more.
Preventive dentistry is one of the easiest ways to upkeep great oral health and prevent more serious dental issues from arising.
The American Dental Association recommends that everyone schedule two dental exams and cleanings per year to ensure their smile is in tip-top shape.
Checkups also allow our team to catch any dental issues while they're still small.
If you're overdue for a dental checkup, please contact our office!
Molars have natural grooves and crevices on the chewing surfaces.
While it's completely normal to have them, they may become breeding grounds for bacteria and decay.
