With our growth we are very eager to announce our new Associate Dentist, Dr. Michael Hatton. Dr. Mike was born and raised in the Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York. Prior to his career in dentistry, he was a middle school science teacher in the South Bronx. He subsequently graduated from New York University College of Dentistry where he received the Bernard E. Rudner Award for Excellence.
This award is given to a senior student who demonstrates superior performance in performing oral comprehensive care and administering a dental practice. Dr. Mike went on to complete an advanced education in Pediatric Dentistry at NYU Langone's Providence, Rhode Island site. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and has an interest in global dental health.
He has gone on outreaches to Kathmandu, Nepal and Kingston, Jamaica where he was able to directly treat the needs of the local children as well as teach pediatric dentistry to the local dental students. Dr. Mike now lives in Southern Maine with his wife Emily, an early childhood teacher and tutor, son Ethan and a baby on the way.
