Services
The primary goal of cosmetic and restorative dentistry is to rebuild teeth to proper health and function, as well as restore natural smile appearance.
When a tooth has become broken down or is lost altogether due to decay, periodontal (gum) disease, or trauma, a crown or bridge may be necessary.
A crown covers the tooth to repair it to proper size, shape and strength when there is not enough healthy tooth structure to support a filling.
A bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth.
A bridge is designed using surrounding teeth to connect to a "false" tooth (or multiple false teeth) to fill the space and provide structural support for biting and chewing.
Cosmetic Veneers are thin, custom-made shells designed to cover the front side of teeth with smooth, highly polished porcelain to enhance their appearance.
They can usually be applied with minimal to no drilling or tooth preparation.
Gaps between teeth, or teeth that are chipped, misshaped, rotated, or slightly misaligned.
Teeth stained by childhood use of antibiotics, or darkened due to an injury or root canal procedure.
Veneers can be combined with All-Porcelain Crowns and Bridges or Dental Implants to complete a smile makeover using the esthetic and beautifully natural design properties of porcelain ceramics.
Cosmetic dental bonding is used to conceal minor flaws and fill small cavities in front teeth.
Using mercury-free composite resin materials that are designed to match your natural tooth shade, bonded dental restorations require very little tooth preparation or drilling and can be placed in a single appointment.
Composite materials are made up of resilient plastics and mineral fillers and are applied using an etch/adhesive technique that literally "bonds" the material to the tooth to support the remaining tooth structure.
According to the National Institutes of Health, tooth decay is the most common chronic disease in children.
Young molar teeth have very deep grooves and pits in the chewing surface that are often impossible to clean with a toothbrush.
These areas become a "safe harbor" for harmful oral bacteria and can eventually develop into dental cavities.
Sealants are the first choice in our children's dental preventive care regimen to help avoid this destructive process.
If a cavity develops, however, it becomes necessary to remove the decay and restore the tooth with a filling.
If your teeth are stained, or are looking yellowish or dull, professional teeth whitening may be a good option for you.
Today's cosmetic dental whitening products are a safe and economical way to change a smile.
Many of our patients have whitened their teeth and frequently comment on how easy it is, and, that they love the results!
Teeth naturally darken as we age.
Colas, dark tea, coffee, red wine and smoking can create stubborn stains that can discolor teeth over time.
These types of stains respond well to professional teeth whitening products.
