Colwick Pediatric Dentistry
As a pediatric specialist, we strive to treat the mind, body and soul by creating a fun, loving, and nurturing atmosphere. Our goal is to foster an environment where children and parents feel comfortable, secure, and excited about dental care. We truly value forming relationships with our families as we create a lifetime of beautiful smiles. Julie Colwick, D.D.S., M.S., has been serving children, teens, and their families in the Cleburne area and surrounding communities since 2008.

She grew up in a small rural North Texas town. She is a proud Red Raider and earned a bachelor's of science in Zoology, with a minor in Chemistry from Texas Tech University. It's wonderfully designed, nice and clean establishment with the BEST staff! My son used to be terrified of anything dentist related, and now because of this team, he is a champ at appointments.

Thank you so much Colwick, you guys are amazing! We've copied your review, after you click 'Publish' please paste your review by selecting 'ctrl' + 'v' into the review comments section.

She then attended The University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston and earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Immediately after dental school, Dr. Colwick worked in general dentistry with adults and children of all ages.
Some children are given nitrous oxide/oxygen, or what you may know as laughing gas, to relax them for their dental treatment.
Nitrous oxide/oxygen is a blend of two gases, oxygen and nitrous oxide.
Nitrous oxide/oxygen is given through a small breathing mask which is placed over the child's nose, allowing them to relax, but without putting them to sleep.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, recognizes this technique as a very safe, effective technique to use for treating children's dental needs.
Pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry.
Dr. Colwick has two years specialty training following dental school and is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist.
Pediatric dentists are primary and specialty oral care providers for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health needs.
Guidance in caring for teeth at any early age (we can start answering your dental questions before your newborn even has teeth) can lead to a lifetime of wonderful oral health.
In our office, the goal is to assist you in preventing dental problems before they happen, and, as needed, be ready to provide a safe and gentle treatment process for infants, children, teens, and those with special health care needs.
Sealants protect the grooved and pitted surfaces of the teeth, especially the chewing surfaces of back teeth where most cavities in children are found.
Made of clear or shaded plastic, sealants are applied to the teeth to help keep them cavity free.
Even if your child brushes and flosses carefully, it is difficult and sometimes impossible to clean the tiny grooves and pits on certain teeth.
Food and bacteria build up in these crevices, placing your child in danger of tooth decay.
Sealants "seal out" food and plaque reducing the risk of decay.
