Good oral health starts with prevention. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends the first dental visit take place by age one or appearance of the first tooth, whichever occurs first. Every child is unique and we will evaluate needs and come up with an individualized preventive plan. Cavities happen, sometimes despite our best efforts to prevent them.

We evaluate each child's unique needs and discuss treatment in detail. This may include composite (tooth-colored) fillings, crowns, extractions, nerve treatments and space maintainers. Dental emergencies are never a welcome event but we are happy to be of service during what can be a stressful time for parent and child. Call our office for emergency needs that arise during the day as well as after-hours.

We hope this website will give you a small glimpse into what our practice is about. The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that a child's first dental visit should take place when the first tooth erupts or by age one.
That may seem early but establishing a dental home at a young age is a proven way to prevent problems before they start and to help build a foundation for a lifetime of good oral health.
We strive to make this first visit as stress-free as possible.
