Traditional metal braces are the most common type of braces and are more comfortable today than ever before. Dr. Koch Orthodontics invites you to take the first step toward getting the radiant smile you deserve with Invisalign clear aligners. Invisalign Teen aligners are made of a clear plastic that is virtually invisible so your friends won't even know you're wearing them.
For 25 years, orthodontist Dr. Keith Koch and his staff have been improving smiles throughout Livingston County. Getting braces can be an uneasy time, for both kids and adults. But our team is committed to removing some of the uncertainty by offering personalized and friendly care, taking the time to answer all questions, and making it as enriching an experience as possible.
By using the latest generation of orthodontic appliances and treatments - from smaller brackets and gentler wires to esthetic clear braces, and Invisalign - our goal is to reduce visibility, improve comfort, and minimize your treatment time. Straight teeth and a properly aligned bite will leave you with a beautiful smile and increased self-confidence.

Clear braces, also known as ceramic braces, are one of the more modern treatment styles available for adults.
A Livingston County orthodontist such as Dr. Koch may recommend ceramic braces for teens and adults that want a less noticeable option than traditional braces, but do not want the worry of tracking how long they wear a daily aligner (Invisalign).
Clear braces and metal braces function in the same way, exerting small but constant pressure, moving the teeth into proper position.
New advancements in technology have enabled clear ceramic braces to match the durability of metal braces.

Colored braces, colored rubber bands, and colored retainers are some of the fun things for teenagers while undergoing treatment at Koch Orthodontics.
When you hear people say colored braces, it is not the metal bracket that is colored.
What they are referring to are the elastic ties or rings that go around each bracket.
The elastic ties are usually changed every 4 to 6 weeks, and this gives the patient a lot of opportunities to have some fun, and change the colors at each appointment.
Typical color shades include red, blue, green, yellow, purple, pink and orange.
