Since my 2006 graduation from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and a subsequent move to Alexandria, Virginia my objective of starting my own practice and meeting the dental needs of its residents has been my personal goal. I have been extremely fortunate to have had devoted mentors throughout my dental life that have provided priceless guidance and influence.

It is with this good advice and the hard work of a knowledgeable and caring staff, a modern office setting featuring state-of-the-art technology that I strive to meet the dental needs of all my patients. As a resident of this community I look forward to seeing you on the streets of Alexandria as well as in my chair. Best dentist EVER! Dr. Hill is competent and kind.

The staff is simply amazing. She researches oral problems constantly, which makes Dr. Hill incredibly capable of treating all of her patients' issues. Her technology is state-of-the-art and she is helpful in giving her patients all the options that may help them determine what is best.

Preventing gum disease and tooth decay isn't difficult; it just requires sticking to a routine.
That routine needs to include brushing, flossing, and regular dental checkups.
These three steps work together to prevent serious problems and keep your whole mouth healthy.
Brushing is, of course, the most basic dental hygiene task you do at home.
You should brush at least twice a day, but it's important to brush correctly.
You should brush after meals, but not too soon after eating.
Give your teeth about 20 minutes to recover from chewing, or else you could actually damage your tooth enamel.
Cosmetic dentistry is no longer a luxury.
The appearance of your teeth is important for your self-esteem, and a beautiful smile can improve your oral health too.
That's because many cosmetic problems are caused by problems with the teeth and gums, so fixing one issue can very often improve the other.
Having a beautiful smile can also encourage you to take good care of your teeth.
The term cosmetic dentistry encompasses many procedures, from porcelain veneers to dental implants.
Just a few cosmetic procedures are generally not related to your oral health.
Why go to a dentist for professional teeth whitening when there are so many products you can buy and use at home?
The answer is that professional teeth whitening gives you better results, faster results and can be even safer for your teeth and gums.
Over-the-counter whitening products are restricted by law from being strong enough to give you good results.
This is for safety reasons, but in a dentist's office, the powerful ingredients used are safe because they are being used by a professional in a controlled environment.
When it comes to dental materials used in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, nothing can beat porcelain for a realistic-looking smile.
While composite resin is very difficult to distinguish from natural tooth enamel, porcelain has one advantage.
Like tooth enamel, porcelain is translucent, it reflects light the same way that natural teeth do.
Porcelain veneers can transform your smile by concealing minor imperfections.
Veneers are thin, shell-like wafers that cover the front surface of the front teeth; generally, they are applied to the teeth that show when you smile.
