She earned her doctorate degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and graduated top of her class with Honors.
Dr. Patel had a particular interest in the surgical aspect of dentistry and was chosen to be one of three residents to further her education in a post-doctoral training program at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Temple, Texas.
