Dr. Megan Nguyen was born in Vietnam.
Her family fled to the US in the late 1970's alongside thousands of "boat people, " who escaped the religious persecution and political oppression in Vietnam.
She grew up in Oregon and now calls North Carolina home.
She completed her undergraduate education with a double BS in Business Administration and General Science with a minor in Biology from the University of Oregon at Eugene.
Dr. Nguyen received her Dental Hygiene degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
