Raised by her mother, Dr. Mayra Betancourt, a dentist; and her father, Dr. Jose Tendero, a doctor, she feels it was destiny for her to follow in one of her parent's footsteps.
After high school and during her undergraduate studies, Dr. Tendero worked at her mother's practice, where she developed a love of dentistry.
