Penn's Commons Dental Group
At Penn's Commons Dental, our goal is to help you keep your teeth at optimum health with the least amount of stress and expense. In addition, our staff seeks to satisfy patients through recommending treatments not dependent on insurance limitations. Through care and listening, we learn about your unique concerns. Together, staff and patient achieve a mutually agreed upon solution that is consistent with dental needs and values for oral health.

Dr. Schmoyer, Dr. Greenlee, and Dr. Bowes are highly skilled dentists specializing in general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and dental implant dentistry. Penn's Commons Dental Group has provided the Reading/Berks area with dental services for over 35 years. We follow recommendations from both the American Dental Association (ADA) and the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

When it's time for your next appointment, you may experience some changes that we've made to protect our patients, and our team.
Services
The choice of dentistry as a career has led to a lifetime of so many rewarding experiences.
Becoming a dentist has offered me the opportunity to embrace technology, build meaningful relationships with my staff and patients, and contribute to the community where I grew up.
It has been my privilege and pleasure to be your dentist.
I would like to say thank you to all of my patients that chose me for their care; I truly will miss all of you.
We follow recommendations from both the American Dental Association (ADA) and the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Dr. Tamatha S. Bowes, DMD joined Penn's Commons Family in May of 2016 and is committed to providing patients with the highest level of care.
Dr. Bowes (Tammy) received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) with high honors from Temple University's Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry.
Additionally, she was inducted into the Omnicron Kappa Upsilon National Honor Society.
Annually, she attends numerous continuing education and advanced training courses which contribute to her various awards in patient care excellence.
I joined Penn's Commons Dental Group in 1981 and worked with Dr. Schmoyer for 2 years as his dental assistant.
I then decided to further my education by pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in dental hygiene from Thomas Jefferson University.
After graduation in 1985, I worked as a dental hygienist in Philadelphia before deciding to return to PCDG in 1987.
PCDG provides outstanding dental care where the camaraderie of the staff and their genuine concern can be felt by each patient.
Having worked here for many years, I pride myself in having built close relationships with my patients.
At Penn's Common Dental Group, our dental assistants are highly qualified and provide excellent care.
As Berks County native, I was born and raised in West Reading and graduated from Wyomissing Area High School.
I attended Northampton Community College's Dental Assisting program and received my CDA in 1997.
I am proud to be one of the dental assistants at Penn's Commons Dental Group.
After 20 plus years here, I cherish the close relationships I have developed with patients, my co-workers and the doctors.
I am originally from Lancaster County and that is where I began my career in dentistry.
I graduated from Cocalico High School and from the National School of Health Technology in Philadelphia as a certified dental assistant.
After moving to Berks County I joined the team at Penn's Commons Dental Group in 1989 and worked as a chair side assistant with Dr. Schmoyer and Dr. Greenlee.
Many years later my role in the office changed to the Treatment Coordinator.
I was absolutely terrified to migrate out of my "comfort" zone but quickly realized that my true calling was to "comfort" and "assist" the new patients coming in to our practice.
