Our goal for you is to prevent more trips to the Dentist and to have a healthy, happy mouth. As a new patient, we will conduct an examination, take necessary x-rays, complete a diagnosis and provide a comprehensive treatment plan for you. Periodontal disease is a progressive disease, and if left untreated, may result in bleeding, irritated gums and loss of teeth.
A simple cleaning therefore is not appropriate until the disease is treated. Your child may have deep grooves in the chewing surfaces of his/her molars. Sealants are used to help prevent food from getting caught in the grooves causing decay. Sealants may wear and need replacement but are usually less expensive-and painless- than having a cavity filled.
