Every child is unique, and as such each child's dental care presents its own special needs.
Often times your presence in the treatment room is a helpful addition in creating a positive dental experience for your child.
Similarly, often times a sibling who accompanies the patient in the treatment room can benefit from watching his or her brother or sister have a great time at Little Sprouts Dental.
There are many occasions however when a well-meaning parent, grandparent, caregiver, or sibling can create distractions that negatively impact the patient's experience or the dental team's delivery of care.
Going to the dentist is an excused absence in Wisconsin.
To ensure the best possible experience for your child, young children and school-aged children alike are best served by morning appointments, when they are fresh and best able to cope with the experience.
While after-school appointments are available at Little Sprouts Dental, it is best to set your child up for success by avoiding times during which your child may be tired, cranky, or worn-out from a full day of school or other activities.
To protect the privacy of all patients, families, and guests who visit Little Sprouts Dental, and to comply with privacy laws, we are sorry that we cannot allow photos, videos, or sound recording to be taken in the office.
Exception: a few photos or a short video may be taken of your child in a private treatment room if you receive the dental team's permission first-we understand that you may wish to capture your child's first visit at the dentist or other great experience at Little Sprouts Dental!
We at Little Sprouts Dental understand that many aspects of health care, even when supported by science and experience, are controversial.
One example is the application of protective fluoride.
We believe in your right to choose what you feel is best for your child's health, and we will do our part to help you understand the benefits and risks of fluoride treatments at the dental office and its use at home.
Fluoride is a naturally-occurring mineral that is added to many municipal water systems but also occurs in varying amounts in well water and other non-treated sources.
