Dr. Ty grew up in the gulf coast hills of Brenham, Texas.
He then became a "Roo" by attending Austin College of Sherman, Texas where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 2001, double majoring in biochemistry and music.
He graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry/Texas A&M University Systems in 2005 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Loving the Dallas metroplex, he remained at BCD for his residency, training at Children's Medical Center and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, receiving a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in June of 2007.
