Dr. Brandon graduated from Shelby High School in 2005.
He finished his undergraduate at Appalachian State University in 2009 where he was on the Dean's list and was the president of the ASU Dental Club.
He graduated from the UNC School of Dentistry in May of 2013 and started working with his father, Paul Hounshell who had been practicing densitry since 1982.
In August of 2015 he transitioned to owning and managing Hounshell Family Dentistry.
He and his wife, Ashley, have one son and daughter, Jack and Sadie, and a chocolate lab, Bella.

They currently help 350-400 people each month.
The Hounshell Family Dentistry staff volunteered to provide free dental care for Slovic refugees in Asheville, NC.
In 2012 Dr. Paul, Dr. Brandon, and Hana volunteered at a Mission's of Mercy clinic in Gastonia, NC.
In October of 2013, Hounshell Family Dentistry participated in the Halloween Candy Buyback program which helps remove excess candy from kids and supports our troops.
They currently help 350-400 people each month.
The Hounshell Family Dentistry staff volunteered to provide free dental care for Slovic refugees in Asheville, NC.
