We use composite filling material which is a tooth colored resin (plastic) material placed in a tooth after we remove decay (cavity) from the tooth.
This helps keep bacteria out of the tooth.
A filling may become too large and compromise the strength of the tooth, in this case the tooth will need a crown (also referred to as a "cap").
A filling can become too close to the nerve of the tooth and the tooth would then need to be treated with a root canal.

A: There are two major types: electric toothbrushes and manual toothbrushes.
Electric toothbrushes work by doing a lot of the work for you and many models have features to time your brushing, tell you when you are pushing too hard, and have various settings.
If you prefer a manual toothbrush then use one with soft bristles to avoid damage to your gum tissue.
A: You should brush at least twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste for 2 minutes and floss once a day to clean between the teeth.
A: Dental coverage is decided by how much your employer pays into the plan.

The front staff was so helpful and friendly. I was so nervous about coming in for my full exam and cleaning. Angela the dental assistant was so comforting and gentle. Haylee my hygienist was very gentle. I am no longer nervous about getting my teeth cleaned! Dr. Thomas is so friendly and detailed. This office is great!
