He was raised in Washington state and even as a boy dreamed of living here in Alaska with his family.
After high school, he followed his three brothers to Alaska working as a fisherman each summer.
He returned to Washington State for dental school and in 2002 he graduated from the University of Washington with a degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Promptly after graduating, he knew that Alaska is his home and moved back to start practicing.
Dr. Kolean chose dentistry as a career because he wanted to help people, and that's exactly what he does!
