Your child's first visit to the dentist can set the stage for a lifetime of good oral health.
And as your baby grows, regular dental visits will be just as important as regular visits to the pediatrician.
That's why it's crucial to find a practice in Montgomery, AL that offers comprehensive baby, child, adolescent, and special-needs dentistry in a soothing, kid-friendly environment.
You want your child to feel comfortable and secure when visiting the dentist, and Bush Pediatric Dentistry can provide the perfect environment.
Dr. Samuel Bush is a board certified children's dental specialist, who is pawsitively passionate about helping children and teenagers maintain healthy and beautiful smiles.
He does this by helping instill in them a positive attitude towards dentistry by introducing them to a friendly and fun dental environment.
Dr. Bush is a 2017 graduate of the Pediatric Residency Program at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, where he developed extensive expertise treating the oral health of children, adolescents, and patients with special needs.
Our office attempts to schedule appointments at your convenience.
Preschool children should be seen in the morning because they are more awake, and we can work more slowly with them for their comfort.
School children with a lot of homework should be seen in the morning for the same reason.
Dental appointments are an excused absence, and missing school can be minimal when regular dental care is scheduled.
Since appointed times are reserved for each patient, we ask that you please notify our office at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time if you must cancel.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children visit a dentist before they turn 1, or within 6 months of the appearance of the first baby tooth.
Bringing your child to the pediatric dentist at a very early age allows him or her to meet the dentist, and become comfortable in the dental office setting.
Sometimes new places can make kids nervous and uncooperative, and that's alright!
We understand.
We will be patient and take our time to develop a solid relationship.
First visits usually include a gentle exam of teeth, jaw, bite, gums, and oral tissues, a gentle cleaning, demonstration of proper home cleaning, fluoride treatment, and answering any questions you may have about your child's oral health.
If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant, you can start taking steps to establish good oral health for you and your child.
It is important to have a dental checkup to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy.
The bacteria in your mouth can affect your unborn child.
And once your child is born, the bacteria that cause cavities and gum disease can be passed from you to your child.
Start developing a healthy smile early by scheduling a complementary consult with Bush Pediatric Dentistry.
