Our family moved to Kalispell in 2008 and have been loving it ever since. I grew up mostly in San Jose, California with a couple of overseas stints in Germany and Cyprus when I was a kid. I went to Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where I earned a degree in engineering. After graduating from BYU, I worked as an engineer for Cessna Aircraft Company and Vornado in Wichita, Kansas.
We lived in Wichita for 11 years, where all four of our children were born. From Wichita, we moved to Richmond, Virginia to work for Hamilton Beach. A few years after moving to Richmond, I decided on a career change, quit my job, and started dental school at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry on the day I turned 40. Engineering and dentistry have a lot in common.
