After earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in only three years from Queens College, Dr. Yelizar took a break from the books so that he could travel and explore his passion for photography.
He soon returned and earned his Doctoral Degree from New York University College of Dentistry.
During his residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, Dr. Yelizar learned to merge his love of science, art, and altruism in order to create gorgeous smiles like those he captured on film during his travels.
As a passionate and dedicated professional, Dr. Yelizar attends numerous continuing education courses each year to further his dental education and stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques in the dental field.
Crowns & Bridges are customized tooth prosthetics used for tooth replacement.
They are removable and will be cemented permanently over the natural tooth structure or dental implant surfaces.
Crowns are commonly used to "cap" a damaged tooth or to cover an implant, thereby giving it additional strength and improving its alignment.
And bridges are used to fill the space when the patient is missing one or more teeth.
Usually, crowns and bridges are not recommended if you are under 18 years old.
If your tooth is inflamed, cracked, or too much damaged, the dentist advises a root canal before implanting a crown or bridge.
Losing teeth can be disheartening and impacts your overall personality; lack of teeth has a direct effect on your smile and confidence.
Now you don't have to worry about missing teeth.
Our Dentures & Partials placement experts in SimpliSmiles can help you to get your smile back.
A denture is an alternate option for the lost teeth and the surrounding tissue, which gives a natural and aesthetic appearance.
There are partial and complete dentures used based on the patient's condition if he has lost some teeth or all the teeth.
Having a good set of teeth is essential for a presentable smile, and a good set of teeth means all teeth are aligned and straightened.
If not, then the person might be subjected to an inferiority complex and thus hampering self-confidence.
Today, at SimpliSmiles, you can straighten your teeth, no matter how bad shape they are inthrough a technique called Invisalign.
Invisalign is an orthodontic procedure through which teeth can be straightened without using metal braces.
They are arguably the best option than metal braces as they are unnoticeable and can be taken off without any hassle.
For a person to feel confident about himself, a smile plays a major role, and having a good set of clean and aligned teeth is very important.
If your teeth are stained or are chipped off, it might affect your self-esteem as well.
Lumineers' placement procedure by SimpliSmiles can help you with that.
The regular intake of coffee, wine, etc. can result in discoloration or stains in your teeth that have to be cleaned.
For the purpose of hiding the stains on the teeth, veneers are used.
These are the thin coverings that are placed on the front part of the tooth, and they look exactly like the natural teeth.
