We believe and emphasize the philosophy that oral hygiene care and regular visits from an early age are essential for a bright smile. We strive to help children maintain good oral hygiene care from a young age. This will not only ensure a bright smile but also no doubt boost self-confidence. Our goal is to treat patients the way we treat our own family, in a comfortable and safe environment.

We provide comprehensive dental care for people of all ages. With general, cosmetic, and restorative services, we provide a wide scope of care to meet your family's complete dental needs. Dr. Lois Lombardo has been a Massachusetts resident her entire life. She was born and raised in Andover and is a graduate of Presentation of Mary Academy. She received her Bachelor of Science and Dental Degree from Tufts University and the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.

Lois and her husband moved to North Andover in 1995. They still reside there with their three children who all attend high school and colleges in New England.

What is preventative dental care?
Preventative dental care works very much the same way as steps you'd take to prevent any type of injury.
When it comes to dentistry, preventative care is so important because it allows for a dentist to prevent injury, or in this instance, damage to the teeth.
Any processes that cover diagnosis, examination, and treatment of teeth in order to harden and defend them against decay are considered preventative.
Preventing problems before they appear is the ideal action plan for a patient.
What is restorative dental care?
Restorative dental care is best defined as the set of processes and procedures used to restore an original smile after it has been affected by decayed, infected, missing or otherwise damaged teeth.
Typically, the most common restorative dental care involves the replacement of the damaged teeth.
Procedures such as bridgework, partials, dentures, and dental implants are the most common ways that a smile can be restored.
Not only is the full health of the smile restored, but the functionality and stability that was affected also returns.
Bridges using natural-looking teeth can be attached to both sides of a gap in order to close it.
Crowns made from tooth-colored porcelain can be bonded to damaged teeth in order to cover them.
Dentures provide a removable plate and can be used for one tooth or up to a full set of artificial teeth.
Dental implants provide a more natural, permanent solution and are titanium posts that are installed into the jawbone and once the gums heal attaching natural-looking crowns.
Braces can be glued to the teeth and the system of brackets and tiny rubber bands that tie them together can be used to gently move and straighten the teeth.
What exactly is family dentistry?
Family dentistry is a specialty within the field of general dentistry and it takes special skills to be able to service the youngest members of a household.
At Lois Lombardo Dentistry, our dentists are specially trained to work with the needs of youngsters and we welcome the whole family into our office and take great pleasure in servicing all ages.
We love to watch children grow and mature and take pride in providing them and their parents the very best in dental care and services.
