We offer kid-friendly dentistry treatments and techniques. Dr. Raggi grew up on a small farm in Newfield, New York. His parents Tony and Carol have lived in Tompkins county for over 30 years. His father has worked for Catholic Charities as a social worker and his mother worked as an ER nurse at Cayuga Medical. At the age of 6 he knew that he would someday become a dentist.
He is a graduate Immaculate Conception in Ithaca and Newfield High School. His years of training took him to many different cities. He worked as a dental assistant for two general dentists, an oral surgeon, and a mobile dentist. After graduating from Case Western Reserve University Dental school in Cleveland, OH, he and his soon-to-be wife, Melissa, moved to Massachusetts.

As such, all of our Adult New Patient Experiences consist of a two part process.
The first part is an hour long Comprehensive Consultation, including X-rays, oral cancer screening, and exam.
Dr. Raggi takes the time to review the findings of your exam with you in detail.
He makes sure to explain all recommended treatment options.
This is the time to ask questions and bring up your concerns.
As such, all of our Adult New Patient Experiences consist of a two part process.

For children ages 5-11 who have been to a dentist previously, we recommend a full New Patient Child visit.
This is a single one hour appointment that includes a comprehensive oral exam, x-rays, a cleaning, and a fluoride treatment*.
For children 5 and under who have never been to a dentist before, we provide a special service called a Happy Visit!
This appointment is a 30 minute meet and greet with Dr. Raggi and the Gorges Dental staff.
A Happy Visit provides a positive and comfortable first experience with a dentist for your child.
This is a single one hour appointment that includes a comprehensive oral exam, x-rays, a cleaning, and a fluoride treatment*.
For children 5 and under who have never been to a dentist before, we provide a special service called a Happy Visit!

We are an "out-of-network" provider.
As a courtesy to our patients, we still submit claims to your insurance on your behalf.

If your insurance company requires a pre-authorization in advance of your treatment, we can handle all of that paperwork too.
Please note, that due to the fact that we are an out of network provider, we are a fee for service practice.
Payment is expected at the time of service.
