The caliber of care that Dr. Conway provides for our family is exceptional! She has been our dentist for over 15 years, and the continuity of her care is so reassuring. Our children will never associate "going to the dentist" as something to fear. As an adult with a few crowns, I so appreciate Dr. Conway's quick response to dental emergencies. Dr. Conway is backed up by her caring and capable staff, who make sure that we never wait, that our teeth are clean, and that our bills are accurate.
It's a pleasure to recommend her practice to anyone looking for a wonderful dentist!

Dental implant look and function like your natural teeth.
An oral surgeon or periodontist will place a metal implant post underneath your gums into the jaw bone.
Sometimes this can be done at the time of extraction; other times the extraction site needs to heal for a period of time prior to implant post placement.
Up to six months may be required for the bone to grow around the anchor and firmly hold it in place.
Then your general dentist will take an impression and fit an abutment in the shape of your tooth to the implant.

A removable partial denture, as the name implies, is an appliance that is easily removed from the mouth by both the patient and doctor.
Removable partial dentures have replacement teeth attached to pink gum colored plastic bases connected by a metal framework.
The partial attaches to your teeth with metal clasps which can be tightened or loosened depending on the fit.
It may take some time to get used to inserting, removing and wearing the partial initially.
As sore spots may develop, we can easily adjust the partial until it feels comfortable.

One of the most common places that tooth decay develops is on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth.
The depressions and grooves in our back teeth, called pits and fissures, help grind food.
These areas can also easily collect bacteria and food causing tooth decay.
Regular brushing and cleaning between teeth with floss will remove the bacteria from the smooth surfaces of the enamel, but it's difficult to keep the pits and fissures clean.
Toothbrush bristles can not reach into these deep grooves.

Our office is open Monday through Thursday 8:00am-5:00pm for regularly scheduled appointments.
Your initial appointment will include a review of your health history, an oral cancer exam, blood pressure screening, charting all your existing restorations and any necessary radiographs you might need.
We are happy to contact your previous dentist to see what x-rays you might have already.
If you have not had a full mouth set of x-rays in the last five years, we will do those at this time.
Otherwise, we will do 4 bitewing x-rays.
