The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children first see the dentist at one year old or when the first tooth emerges. It's important to see a dentist early in a child's life because it allows the doctor to examine his/her mouth and discuss specific oral hygiene instructions for the child. Parents should begin brushing and flossing their children's teeth when the first tooth emerges.
When the child is old enough, parents should teach their children how to brush and floss properly. Setting a high standard of oral hygiene early in life will help children develop healthy oral hygiene habits for life!

AJ, is a graduate from the NYU Langone Pediatric Dental Residency site in Tampa, Florida.
She completed her dental school at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida.
Having grown up in Spring Hill, Dr. AJ is very excited to return to her hometown and serve the local community.
She has a passion for working with children, teens, and patients with special healthcare needs.

Dr. Chad Burton, originally from Missouri attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City, School of Dentistry on a U.S. Navy Health Professions Scholarship, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1996.
A Retired Navy Captain he began his 23 year Naval Career as a general dentist, serving with the Fleet Marine Force in Okinawa, aboard the USS Bridge AOE-10 deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom, amongst many other duty stations totaling 11.
Dr. Burton then completed his Orthodontic specialty training at Wilford Hall Medical Center, San Antonio, TX, earning his Certificate in Orthodontics in 2004.
