Dr. Dana Ericksen spent his high school years in Blacksburg, Virginia, rooting for the Hokies while his father taught at Virginia Tech.
Upon receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1982, he returned to UVA in Charlottesville to complete a two-year general practice residency including oral surgery, oral pathology, facial trauma, IV sedation and dental care for the medically compromised.
Upon relocating to Northern Virginia in 1984, Dr. Ericksen was the dental director at the Northern Virginia Training Center where he provided dental care to those with intellectual disabilities.
