After attending Candalaria Elementary, Leslie Middle, and South Salem High, he furthered his education at Oregon State University.
There, he completed a Bachelor of Science, majoring in pre-dentistry with a minor in chemistry.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where he graduated in 2006.
He is licensed to practice medicine in both Florida and Oregon.

That I could use my artistic talents as well as the enjoyment of medicine and helping people.
The most rewarding part of the job for me is that I do get to help people.
I get people out of pain.
I can help people feel better about themselves.
