All dentists at Smart Pediatric Dentistry are either board certified or board eligible pediatic dental specialists.
This means that after dental school, they attended two additional years of specialty training focused primarily on treating the dental needs of children ages 0-18 years of age.
Above and beyond a pediatric dentist can take additional board exams both writen and oral to become board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Our main focus as pediatric dentists are to inform and teach parents about their child's oral health, do the highest quality dentistry possible, do it safely, and do it in a way that is most comfortable for our patients and parents.

The first "regular" dental visit should be no later than your child's first birthday.
And at our office we do check-ups for kids under age 3 for FREE!
We will gently examine your child's teeth and gums.
X-rays may be taken to reveal decay and check on the progress of your child's permanent teeth under the gums.
We may clean your child's teeth and apply topical fluoride to help protect the teeth against decay.
We will make sure your child is receiving adequate fluoride at home.
Most important of all, we will review with you how to clean and care for your child's teeth.
