I think I decided to go into dentistry because I kind of liked the arts and crafts and I kind of liked the science and that was a great combination of the two of them together.
My dad was a dentist, and I liked watching what he did and it just seemed like a good fit for me.
I think helping people, whether it be someone coming in, in a lot of pain and we can get them out of pain, or someone coming in that's just unhappy with their smile and we can just life changing, that can change how they look, how they talk, how they eat, how they feel.

And I was always curious and always been sort of mechanical in nature.
And dentistry really is just tiny engineering.
The most rewarding part is to satisfy a patient's needs.
They might be aesthetic, it might be pain, might be something else, but when somebody has a problem and you solve it, that's rewarding.
I've been practicing from almost 38 years here in Crown Point and I've always kept up with continuing education because it's fun.
And I was always curious and always been sort of mechanical in nature.
