Dr. Brian E. Yamamoto has been practicing dentistry since 1980. After graduating from University of California Dental School, he served as a general dentist in the U.S. Army initially at Ft. Wainwright and also at NTC Ft. Irwin. In 1985, he entered private practice in Fairbanks where he has practiced to the present day. His philosophy in treating patients has remained the same over these many years.

That is, "to provide quality care at the highest standard to patients of all ages, as well as educating patients in maintaining their oral health". Dr. Yamamoto treats patients of all ages providing comprehensive dental care. If there is specialty care that is required, Dr. Yamamoto will refer to the appropriate specialist. Dr. Yamamoto has two hygienists who will provide routine dental cleanings.

Scaling and Root Planing with and without anesthesia can also be performed. We emphasize education and prevention during our cleanings. We want our patients to understand how to take care of their teeth and understand all factors that contribute to good oral health.

One of Dr. Yamamoto's patients brought a WWII notebook from a Japanese soldier.
Dr. Yamamoto had a Japanese war historian help find the family.
A ceremony was held and broadcast over Japanese television returning the notebook to the family of the soldier who was KIA on Okinawa.
Dr. Yamamoto led 120 participants to France for the 75th Anniversary of France.
In particular, we visited locations where the all Japanese 100th Infantry Battalion and the 442nd Regimental Combat Team fought.

A brighter smile.
Teeth that are yellowed and stained can make you look older and drag your appearance down.
Regular appointments keep your teeth healthy and looking their best.
A nice smile and white teeth will make you look younger and feel more confident.
Halitosis, another name for bad breath, is a sign of gum disease.
Food particles become trapped between the teeth, and the resulting infection on the gum line produces bad breath.
Regular cleanings will keep your breath fresh, remove plaque, and keep germs and bacteria from accumulating.
What are the benefits of a dental bridge?
A dental bridge can restore your smile and bridge the gap when you have one or more missing teeth.
Dentures are a last resort and only used when no other treatment will work for the patient.
It is better to keep the functionality of your natural teeth whenever possible.
Bridges make it possible to continue to eat the foods you love without worrying about anything coming loose.

Restorative dentistry includes cosmetic procedures to restore the functionality of your teeth and give you back a healthy smile.
When someone loses a tooth due to periodontal disease or a mouth injury, the surrounding teeth will often try to fill in for the one that is missing and may shift out of place, affecting the way you bite or chew due to the absence of that tooth.
Restoring a missing tooth with a crown and bridge keeps that from happening and keeps the rest of your teeth healthy.
A crown can cover a weakened tooth or one that has been damaged by tooth decay.
