Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Schmidgall has a twin sister and a younger brother.
His dad's career brought him to Colleyville, TX where he lived until he attended Texas A&M University.
He then went on to receive his DDS from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX.
Dr. Schmidgall and his wife, Michele, met during his residency at Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Together they have a son, Luke, and a daughter, Kate.
They are part of the Watermark Community Church in Fort Worth with their faith being a central part of their marriage, family, and practice.
