After high school, he attended Louisiana State University and then went on to Louisiana State University School of Dentistry (LSUSD), where he was awarded the Chancellor's Award for Dental Excellence, as well as many other awards.
After graduation in 1990, Dr. Bankhead joined the practice of Dr. Donald Perrere, which opened in 1965.
In 1993, Dr. Bankhead took over the practice and in 1995 relocated to our current location on Historic Highland Road.

Adjacent teeth on either side of the missing tooth gap are prepped down like we would prepare a dental crown tooth, and then an impression is taken.
Most impressions taken in our office will be done as optical dental impressions.
These impressions are how the dental laboratory correlates the prepped teeth to the opposing teeth and your bite to make your well-fitting dental bridge.
Optical dental impressions are sent via email to our dental laboratory to have them custom make your dental bridge.
