I walked into Arbor Oaks today after spending the last year suffering from an untreated mental illness that caused me to almost completely neglect my oral health. In addition, I hadn't seen a dentist in over a decade.
It took quite a bit of courage, and the use of a few new coping skills to get me in the door today, and suffice to say it could have gone badly today for me. All I had to covey to Dr. Brawner's team was that it's been a decade & I'm nervous, and they took it from there.
