I was born and raised in Silicon Valley in Northern California, but moved to Southern California to further my education.
I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of California at San Diego (UCSD) and my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry (USC).
My desire to focus more on children's dentistry led me to the Big Apple to New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) for residency training and pediatric specialization.
You're probably wondering, why pediatric dentistry?
Our top priority at SoCal Pediatric Dentistry is doing everything we can to prevent dental issues from occurring.
Prevention begins with good dental habits, the right diet and regular visits to the dentist at a very early age.
We cater to children of every age, and we love to educate parents about good oral hygiene and nutrition.

A dental sealant is a thin tooth-colored material that coats the grooves and fissures on the back teeth to help protect those surfaces from dental caries (cavities).
Pediatric patients not only have different dentition, or teeth, than adults, but they also have specific behavioral and dental needs unique to children.
A pediatric dental specialist has trained an additional two years after becoming a general dentist, to be able to address children's dental and behavioral issues.
Specialty training encompasses disciplines including behavioral management, care of individuals with special health care needs, orthodontic interception, preventative measures, restorative dentistry, and sedation/hospital dentistry.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children visit the dentist when they get their first tooth or by their first birthday.
Starting dental visits at an early age can aid in early detection and management of oral conditions, establish healthy habits and oral care, and cultivate a favorable impression for your child.
Some of those teeth will be present until 12 years old, so it's important to take care of them.
Tooth decay, also known as dental caries, is the number one chronic health problem of children.
When a dental accident happens, it's good to be prepared and have a reliable pediatric dentist available to help assist you.
