As a typical child of his generation and environment he enjoyed the invigorating influence of outdoor beach activities and high school sports.
George chose to enter the Air Force immediately after high school, where he served as a Military Policeman and traveled extensively.
He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Riverside in Cellular Biology where he graduated with honors whilst working in a research laboratory.
