Dr. Ludin attended the University of Colorado School of Dentistry, where she received her DDS in 1998.
She began practicing in Denver with the non-profit organization KIND (Kids in Need of Dentistry).
From 2001-2006, she was the staff dentist at the Tri-County Health Senior Dental Clinic, providing dental services for qualifying seniors.
After that, she was an associate dentist in the Cherry Creek area for almost ten years.
Dr. Ludin is a member of the American Dental Association, the Colorado Dental Association, and the Metro Denver Dental Society.
The most likely location for a cavity to develop in your child's mouth is on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth.
Run your tongue over this area in your mouth, and you will feel the reason why: These surfaces are not smooth, as other areas of your teeth are.
Instead, they are filled with tiny grooves referred to as "pits and fissures, " which trap bacteria and food particles.
The bristles on a toothbrush can't always reach all the way into these dark, moist little crevices.
This creates the perfect conditions for tooth decay.
Kids who take part in athletic activities - whether they're playing on organized sports teams, bicycling, or just kicking a ball around - gain a host of well-documented health benefits.
Yet inevitably, along with all the fun, the sense of achievement, and the character-building features of athletics, the possibility of injury exists.
How prevalent are sports-related dental injuries?
In 2012, the National Youth Sports Safety Foundation forecast that more than 3 million teeth would be knocked out in youth sporting events that year!
